Katherine Friedman Found Life Lessons in Morocco's Sahara Desert

Morocco wasn't a destination I would have confidently recommended before this trip. A Country That Felt Safe and Endlessly Varied

I'll be honest. Several women on our tour had concerns before we left. Morocco felt unfamiliar, and there were worries about safety. But once we arrived, those fears dissolved. Walking around with other women from our group, I never once felt threatened or uncomfortable. That's something I now share confidently with clients who have similar hesitations.

I also didn't expect Morocco to contain so many different worlds within one country. Marrakesh is vibrant and intense, full of city energy. But then I visited Casablanca, which has an entirely different personality. It's a financial district right on the ocean, with waves crashing against the shore and a calmer, more modern atmosphere. The diversity of environments caught me off guard in the best way.

Who This Trip Is For

If you're someone who craves connection, who wants to meet people in the places you visit and genuinely embrace a new culture, Morocco will reward you beyond measure. It's for the adventurous traveler who finds joy in learning, who wants to come home changed rather than just entertained. I'd go back in a heartbeat just to dive deeper into everything I only glimpsed.
