"I invited friends to join me on the trip so that they could hang out during the day while I was at the conference and then I would have friends to hang out with in the evening," Crystal explains. Crystal's experience with New Orleans – she's visited "dozens of times" – allowed her to craft the perfect itinerary. "We put on our dresses and took an Uber to the restaurant where we were treated to an incredible three course meal in the most beautiful setting, in the Garden Room," Crystal recalls. But perhaps the most unexpected highlight was their true-crime tour through the French Quarter. Despite Crystal's extensive New Orleans experience, this was uncharted territory. "The stories were fascinating and it was so neat to walk past the places where they actually occurred," she shares. "It did leave a little bit of a chill up your spine but it was a very fun evening."
